David Gallagher has 30 years of experience representing individual and corporate clients in civil disputes and litigation involving employment matters, banking and lender liability claims, construction litigation, contract claims, commercial litigation, closely-held corporate disputes, and real estate litigation.  David is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire.  He has successfully represented clients in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the First Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the Supreme Judicial Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  David has also prosecuted or defended claims on behalf of the Firm's clients in virtually every District and Superior Court in Massachusetts.  David also advises local businesses regarding employment and discrimination issues.

In addition to successfully litigating claims on behalf of the Firm's clients, David has also acted as a Mediator, and has served as a Conciliator in the Essex County Superior Court, since being appointed by the Superior Court more than 10 years ago.

David is a Member of the American Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the New Hampshire Bar Association, and the Salem Bar Association.  David is also a long-standing Member of the American Association of Justice and served on the Essex County Advisory Committee for the Massachusetts Bar Foundation during the years 1993 and 1994.  David was recognized by Boston Magazine as a "Massachusetts Super Lawyer" in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Recent Successes:

Resolved dispute on behalf of spouse of deceased shareholder in a closely-held family business with a settlement in excess of $2,000,000.00.

Obtained one of the highest jury verdicts in Massachusetts for the year on behalf of a commercial lending institution while successfully obtaining dismissal of substantial lender liability counterclaims.

Successfully sustained dismissal in the Massachusetts Appeals Court of numerous claims filed to stop client's residential and commercial real estate developments.

Obtained judgment in the United States District Court dismissing handicap discrimination claims against a local grade school basketball association.
